Carver's will be supplied with up to three logs per day during the event and are able to bring pieces that are already blocked out. Carvers are limited to twelve pieces for sale purposes. Carver's are required to donate a piece to the silent auction (value $250-300.00), proceeds to Habitat for Humanity. Carver's must also give 10% of total sales during the two days to the event.
Howard Johnson motel in Gravenhurst has set aside some rooms for the carvers and there assistants at a discounted rate of $70 per night, each room has two double beds. These rooms must be booked by Feb 1/10
There will be a raffle draw for the carvers ; First prize, Stihl chainsaw. Second prize, Safety gear. Third prize, Fuel and Oils.
Carver's will be allowed to start setting up for the event on Thurs February 25/2010 at 12:00 noon.
All carvers must have insurance and sign waiver to participate.
